Tip #9 – Avoid Weakening by Not Using Hot Water for Hair Rinsing

Hot water can damage your hair. While it may feel great to jump into a hot shower in the middle of winter, this immense heat will dry out your hair and scalp causing you to lose more hair along the way.

And the hot water will weaken the hair significantly, too!

So, try using a cold rinse for your hair or, at least, tone down the heat so that you don’t damage your hair along the way.

  • Olive oil

If you wish to use an essential oil, it’s recommended that you mix them with one of these three oils, including Lavender, Rosemary, and Geranium.

Remember that essential oils are very potent, so use them sparingly!

Tip #7 – Moisturize Your Hair with Nutritious Oils & Homemade Masks

Oils and hair masks are an amazing way to moisturize the hair, combat dry scalp and keep the hair you do have strong and healthy. The best homemade coconut hair mask that I have personally found includes:

  • 2 – 4 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of Organic Honey
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 5+ Drops of Essential Oil of Your Choice

You want to use all organic products. Just place these ingredients into a mixing bowl (do not forget to heat up coconut oil to make it liquid) and make a thick mixture. Then you’ll want to work them into your hair starting at the root.

Just wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask sit for 30 minutes before rinsing!

Pay attention: You can also use castor oil (excellent for hair growth) in the same manner. Argan oil is another potent oil that can be used for overall hair growth and health.

Tip #6 – Eat Enough Protein & Fish Meat

Protein and fish are great for your body and hair. What most people don’t realize is that hair growth requires protein. Since hair is mostly composed of this substance, you’ll want to ensure you eat enough protein-rich foods.

A few foods to include are Fish, lean meats, lentils, beans, eggs, soy, and beef.

Fish is also good because fish oils naturally contain omega-3 fatty acids. These naturally nourish hair follicles.

If you don’t like fish, there are supplements that you can take instead.

Tip #5 – Let Your Hair Air Dry
